What a wonderful life!

Thursday February 19, My dear grandpa passed away from parkinson's disease. I am happy to say that he is free now from this horrible disease. He lived such a wonderful life he served his country and was a very big part of American Fork city. He was the fire chief for American Fork Fire Department. He loved serving his community and friends and family. In his younger days he was an awesome athlete! He was the star of his team for football, basketball, track and baseball. He loved sports all through high school. Later he had his own gas station that everyone in the community hung out at. He also loved racing horses he had several well trained horses that raced very well. I very fond memories of him when i was a kid i loved going to see his horses. He used to take us where they were all the time. He was a very sarcastic guy with dry humor. He always had a good attitude and awesome stories to tell.

His funeral had a lot of meaning. Everyone who spoke, spoke of how wonderful a man he was. After the funeral services we went to the cemetary and they had huge flags everywhere and the fireman standing in a line as we passed. During the services the army shot their guns and presented my grandma with an American flag for serving his country. He was a wonderful man and will for sure be missed. We love you "Grumpy!
