Soap-Box Derby!!

This week in American fork is Steele Days. On Tuesday they did a little soap-box derby right behind our house so me and chris decided to take advantage of the free activites in our city. It was so fun! some of the cars they built were so cool and so fast! and it was so funny to watch these little kids crash into the boxes at the finish line. I'm glad we went it was super fun!

P.S. do you ever wonder why they call it a soap-box derby? I did so here's a little bit of history for ya! Kid's used to take wooden soap crates that would normally just be thrown away and put wheels on them usually wheels from baby carriages or things like that. The steering consisted of ropes and pulley's and they would find a sweet hill and off they went. Sounds pretty safe huh?
